  • Transitioning back to Groovement! Register now!

The past year has not been easy on families. With the stress of remote learning and other hardships, physical health and quality time have suffered in many households. Let’s change that together! We’ll take time each Saturday for bonding and self-care. Get moving with dance-based fitness classes; return to fundamentals of mental, spiritual and physical health; and learn some nourishing, budget-friendly recipes that kids will love.

These classes are designed to be engaging and fun for children and adults together.  They are all on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. You may register for as many or as few as you like.

If you work for the Department of Education (DOE), please register using your non-DOE email address. You'll need to use the same non-DOE email to log into Zoom to access any of the UFT's remote meetings.

  • Health and Safety Screening

    For Student Entry Protocol:

    1. All students entering our school building must conduct this self-screening at home with
their parent before arriving to school every day. https://healthscreening.schools.nye/

    a. If families cannot access the link above on their electronic devices, then you will
be provided with paper copies of the screening questionnaire to fill out at home
    before arriving to school.

    b. If families cannot access the link above using their electronic devices and do not
fill out a paper version of the health screening questionnaire, then they must
conduct this screening when they arrive to school. On-site assessment will be
conducted with child and parent so that the parent can fill out the questionnaire
and have the child(ren)'s temperature taken by a School Safety Agent and/or PS
    18 staff member.

    2. Upon entering the school grounds for arrival (yard area, small yard, etc.) students/parents
will need to show the confirmation screen on their electronic devices and/or a printed
copy of the confirmation screen to a PS 18 staff member and/or School Safety Agent.

    3. Families should support students as needed with this online screening questionnaire and
should ensure students have proper documentation for morning entry.

    4. If a parent or child refuses to screen, they will need to speak to the Principal and BRT
    Leader

    5. Thermometers will be issued on the first day of school for in-person students.

    For Parent/Visitor Entry Protocol:

    1. All parent/visitors entering our school building must conduct this self-screening at home before
coming to the building by clicking on the following link: https://healthscreening.schools.nyc/

    2. Upon entering the school building (meeting in main office, meeting with teacher, etc.)
families will need to show the confirmation screen on their electronic devices and/or a
printed copy of the confirmation screen to a PS 18 staff member and/or School Safety
    Agent.

    3. The SSA agent(s) and PS 18 Staff Members will continue "random" temperature
    screenings.

    4. If a parent refuses to screen, they will need to speak to the Principal and BRT Leader.

    5. For health and safety reasons, only two parents will be allowed in the main office at any
    given time.
